  1. Thanks a lot guys, I'm going here next week! I'm really excited to get the kids out fishing. Thanks again for the info!
  2. what? no one lives near here? come on guys.... you know you wanna help a guy out......
  3. http://www.texs.com/classified/pat/index.htm http://www.strikebass.com/rosolowskiboat.htm http://www.strikebass.com/SkeeterYamaha.htm <-----better link Obviously by your replies your "looking for something specific" Your probably not going to find it locally.... so you may want to look elsewhere. here's a couple links of said boat..... keep looking and good luck in your search.
  4. And I read all three pages. :-[
  5. Rapala original floater color: silver size: F09 I call it ole' faithful. It always works when everything else has been thrown w/ no bites.
  6. Wow! Nice one!
  7. I'm going to Swan lake in Maine for our yearly vacation at the end of August. We rented a house on the lake. My question is: What's best used in this lake? Me and my father in-law have tried trolling w/ deep diving rapala's, and shallow runners. We rarely have caught anything in the 3 years I've gone. I'm bringing my boys along this year and want them to catch their first big ones. Any help would be appreciated!!!! Thanks, and Tight lines to all.
  8. If I were to change the hooks, What size should I use so I don't mess up the action of the bait? I thought an 8 looked like the original size, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the info.
  9. I read somewhere that you guys/girls recommend changing out the hooks on cranks. I have probably 20 or so cranks..... I'm just curious if there is a reason for it or do you just favor a certain hook for some reason. I'm only asking because I have been fishing for the past 3 years using the same hooks that came on my Rapala's w/ no problems so far. Tight lines to all.......
  10. I used to tie directly with a clinch knot whenever I used cranks. This year, I changed it up and started to use the Rapala knot on cranks. There really hasn't been any change..... I still catch fish. Use what's easier for you bud.
  11. The Target here was selling them for $4. They had a few DT's and a couple Glass Raps. Then again, I went to Cabela's in WV last weekend and they were selling all the Rapala's for $9-$11. That's the last time I drive a state away to check out a store....... ;D
  12. What are the other ponds in the area that are less sketchy? I know the usual's.... Burke, Beavercreek, Royal, Braddock, Fairfax, and Occoquan. I'm just wonderin what else is out there..... Thanks
  13. I'm no Pro, but I've also tried those lakes and ponds. Personally, I've had some good luck using Rapala's DT series. As well as some senko's (black w/ purple flakes). I have gone to Beaver creek reservoir in Ashburn (caught several LMB's and SMB's there) and a couple local ponds in Reston. I'd say try to go early or late.... Seems they don't like bitin' middle of the day. Least thats my experience. Good luck and let me know what ya get.
  14. Reston residents only. aka private... and even further, I know some of those other lakes up there are Reston Association members only. ok terrific. Anyways, Anyone else caught anything here?
  15. It's not private. If you live in Reston it's free game.
