  1. Thanks for the tip gar-tracker. I've thrown a shakey head/worm around by the pilings but with little luck. Maybe I need to slow it down a little. Bocabasser, glad to hear you nailed em at loxahatchee. That's definately my favorite place to fish in South Florida. I love frog fishing those flats. I had my morning trip on Lake Toho this morning. Capt definately put me on some fish. They were biting very finicky though. The front that came through yesterday has them biting short. I had probably 30 takes actually catching only about 25% of those. It's tough to hook up because they're biting short, but at the same time you have to hit them fairly quickly before they bury back in the maidencane. My second bite of the day was a very large fish which I was able to wrechout of the weeds only to have him drop off just outside the net. Capt said it was about 7-8lbs (I thought it was bigger ) I got a couple 3-4lbers. Getting ready for my morning trip at the Stick Marsh tomorrow, now.
  2. Thanks gar-tracker. I've had a little bit of luck in the mornings, but it gets pretty bleak after that. I've tried some deep water techniques later in the day, but with very little luck. I went out tonight after work and caught a couple fish at the golf course near my house. With all the rain today, there was a lot of moving water through the golf course canals. They hit a wacky-rigged senko thrown right in the out-flow current from the culvert. Caught three fish in ~15mins, biggest one about 2.5lbs.
  3. Hey all. Long time lurker, first time poster. A quick question for the S Fla crowd. In general, which area is better this time of year....Holiday Park or the US27 area (near Sawgrass rec park). I started fishing these areas a few months ago, but lately I've really been struggling. Not looking for anybody's hot spots or hot tips. Just general info. Thanks in advance. BTW. I have a trip to Toho scheduled for Thursday and an trip Friday with George Welcome at the Stick Marsh. I've been reading you guys for a long time and I have been very impressed with the good info shared here. I hope to contribute myself in the coming months.
