I Texas rig plastics and pop the bottom dredging each side of the trunk...... if they're under there they'll take a run at it!

Superglue is great... never use it fishing BUT it's the only glue I've ever heard of that works better with moisture.... which is why it sticks to skin so well.... but next time you use it breath on whatever your gluing, it helps!

I personally like points with current swirling by and if there's boulders or cover on the point the HIT IT.... especially big rocks in the water, they've been good to me... I guess the fish can hid out between the rocks and get a jump on whatever comes by!
