Fished it several times but only in summer and fall, I find most of my fish on the wood lay downs up river from the ramp on the islands pitching jigs and craws in green pumpkin and if the waters muddy then black with a glass rattle insert. There's large pad fields down river from the ramp in Montrose but I'm not sure the pads would be up this early in the year but flipping pads in Montrose wins a lot of tournaments. Its a tough fishery but when you figure out a good pattern it can be quite good.
