My favorite crank baits are Wally Diver magnums in silver or gold and Yo-Zuri magnum crank-n-dives. For the Yo-Zuris, I've taken smallies on all colors, but the gold-themed ones are my favorites. 8-)

I fish a lake in central Maine. When crankbaits are working for me, gold is usually the color of choice!

I have a lot of success with Heddon Magnum Torpedos. I like both gold and silver for colors. Both a twitching retrieve and a steady retrieve will produce strikes. I also like buzzbaits. A smallmouth exploding on a buzzbait is simply awesome!
