  1. First Memo thank you for serving our country, seriously!! As for fishing spots, I'm a newbie and I'm even catching decent bass at Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet. It's only about 45min from Pendleton so not too far. You can rent a bout on Wed for half price but shore fishing isnt too bad, just gets real hot so bring plenty of water!
  2. Awesome post. I also seem to stay in the same spot too long and usually just switch between crank baits and seldomly gotten lucky. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to fish in the weeds without getting stuck
  3. Thanks all! I'm already getting great tips from all your FAQs!!!

  5. Hello everyone, my name is Fred and I live in Hemet. My fishing experience includes mostly pier fishing, but just recently started venturing into calmer waters (unsuccessfully) lol. Just bought my first baitcaster, so I'm having fun learning that. I usually fish in Oceanside, but want to learn how to surf fish, lake fish, bay fish.... I'm basically looking for something bigger than a mackerel or a smelt lol. I keep going to Diamond Valley Lake but still trying to get a bite (and a clue). So please, be patient with my many questions, but all answers would be greatly appreciated!!!
