Mini Frogs.....
Both Koppers and Kahara have come out with mini hollow body frogs.... 1 3/4" and 2" bodies, respectively. Is anyone planning on throwing these for smallies? Are they small enough in your opinion? I plan on trying some, because nothing beats topwaters for smallies, and the green fish trash frogs..... What is ya'lls opinion on these?

What Handle Material And Type Do You Prefer?
Has to be cork, full length on casting, which is what I use the most. Two piece rub me the wrong way..... Literally. Maybe its just my hook setting style, but I absolutely hate split grips on casting tackle. Spinning is a wrist-set for me, so I really don't care either way. Cork is more sensitive than foam and is simply better looking. The new rods are just like Muscle Cars, you can put Mags, six exhaust pipes, flames, and the whole nine yards on a Challenger, but in time what people really want are the stock, pure cars, not the hyped-up ones that are miles from number matching.....

Are We Witnessing The Extinction Of Cork Grips?

New Rod
Ya'll are missin' it! Field and Stream Angler Series. Beats the Tech-Specs and rods all the way up to St. Croix Mojos. For sub-$100 rods these are the best I've found.

Most Bass You've Boated?
Best day ever was on a pond, caught the evening bite and caught 40 in the time I was there including two over 5lbs. and two 6.5s. All were on either waking swimbaits or topwaters....

Losing Big Fish
I'd use a braid main line with a leader of FC or Mono.... The hooksets you get will triple over normal mono. The extra no-stretch qualities of the braid really help. The best knot I've found for connecting the line - leader is the double uni. I learned the hard way blood knots don't work on braid/mono....

Anyone Tie There Own Hair Jigs
Try bucktail, marabou, and synthetic materials such as Fish Hair. Hook/head sizes vary on what you want. but the bigger the easier to tie, 'till you get to the bigger sizes, after which proportions become an issue. You'd probably have beter luck posting this in the tacklemaking forum......

What To Put Into My Tackle Box!?
After seeing all these lists, most of which are helpful... I can't help but to add mine. I doubt I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but.... 1/4oz. White Spinnerbait 1/4oz. popper in any color that happens to strike you (Rebel Pop-R would be a good start) Rapala Original Floater F09 Silver for Clear Water, Firetiger for muddy. (These baits are a little more than some, but they work wonders. You ca't fish these wrong.) 5" Senko/Dinger/*** There are a ton of names for these lures, but they basically look like soft plastic cigars. 5/0 Wide Gap Worm Hooks for the above lure 1/4oz. Rapala Rattlin' Rap or Cotton Cordell Super Spot This is enough to get you started in the right direction. You can catch fish anywhere with these lures. If you need advise on fishing these lures, or any other questions about line, rods, reels, etc. feel free to PM me.

Monofilament
Personally, I love Trilene XT, preferably in the Clear color.

Koppers Live Target Frogs
I personally fish nothing but Spro Bronzeyes.... I've used Snag Proof, Koppers, Scum Frog, etc. and the most durable, best walking, and best catching frogs I've used are the Spro brand. I am in no way affiliated with Spro other than purchasing their product, but they are the best on the market. The koppers don't cast as well, have limited color selection (Comparatively) and have poorer hook-up ratios, as well as being less durable and don't walk as well than the Spros..... That being said, make sure you are using a hgood stiff rod with braided line and setting the hook HARD.

How Would You Fish These Ponds
SWIMBAITS!!!!! 6" Hitch or Ayu Berkley Hollowbelly Swimbait fished slo-o-w-ly around the weeds.

Chatter Baits
I've done well bulging it just under the surface, especially when trying to cover water. The last time I used a chatterbait I nailed down a pattern in 2ft. of water after a storm came through. The fish were up feeding on the surf kill, and were reacting welll to a Brown/Orange chatterbait (my version) with a Brush-Hog style trailer bulged across the top of the water.

Storing Plastic Worms
I personally dump the bags into Plano 3700 series boxes, salt and all. Works for me, and they keep their sent, which is one of the main complaints that I heard about taking the baits out of their packaging.

Giving A Frog A Haircut
..Personall, I've had my best experiances with the legs on a Spro cut so that when you fold them forward over the body, they just reach the eye. But that's just my personal preferance

Cranking Help
AS was mentioned, use a lighter version of the bait. Another option would be to increase line diameter or, if using fluoro, to change to monofilament line, due to its buyonacy. I personally would use a stiff rod and stock, not heavey hooks, so that I could rip the weeds off when they get snagged on the hooks. But if you're on a pattern, theres no point in changing. Hope this helps!

Most Common T-Rig Weight
1/8 oz. unpegged almost exclusively. Anything heavier is jig territory

I personally like Yum! Money Craws /Wooly Bullee and single tail grubs. However, the old Powerbait Beasts were great. Just a shame you can't find 'em anymore.....
