  1. I recently purchased a fish finder for my boat. I have an 18 foot Bass Buggy pontoon boat (no laughing from you bass boat guys). I purchased a Humminbird 565 fish finder. Suppposedly it provides a 60 degree "cone" of sonar coverage. The boat dealer mounted the fish finder and transducer for me. The transducer was mounted to a metal plate which protects the live well pump, and this is mounted to the rear of one of the pontoons. After looking at the boat it looked like they'd mounted the transducer in the most logical place on this type of boat. Now the questions. With the transducer mounted on the rear of the pontoon is the sonar really showing me what's beneath the boat, or showing me what's slightly behind the boat? I'd appreciate any tips or advice on where what I'm seeing on the display is located. Thank you. ???
