Thanks everyone for the congrats i will have the pic posted tomorrow. Hope everyone is having success
  7. I would have to agree with the above statements. I know at least with Golf clubs companies look for guys that are good and will have their clubs noticed and talked about. I know a guy who played in the British Open and Masters back in the 70's once or twice and to this day he still recieves clubs with his name etched on them from the manufactures telling him to try them out and share information with others on the club... i imagine the same is true with bait testers.
  8. Definatly played it and if anyone knows the answer i would love to find it again...

Yep nothing like it. To bad i got so much to do i would love to spend all day out their instead of these one and two hour windows. But hey its something cant wait to keep working these new techniques and learning more hence catching more.
  14. Well it only took about half the summer for me to finally hook up on a bass. I will post the pics of it later today. Caught it on a 7inch powerbait power worm, with a curl tail (tequila sunrise). Didnt even think it was a fish till i pulled up and thought it was bottom and then all the sudden bottom started running and flying outta the water! Anyway such as SICK feeling finally catching one!
  15. I got out to relax and try and catch fish. Since i am new i have been reading alot about what everyone here says and i try and take that into account the next time i go out so i can combine it with what i know and try new things myself. So i go out to learn but mainly to relax and if i catch something that is great if not i am not upset i had time to unwind and relax.
  16. Yes unfortunatly i have lost the owners manuel so i have to find a new way of doing it. Thanks again for everyones input
  17. Good advice i will have to check them out
  18. OK i have a Quantum Xloos5 reel and it says its an extra light reel. I guess i should have seen that before. Guessing my 12 pound Spiderwire EZ super mono line was not the right line to buy. Should i go get a more heavy duty reel or what do you think?
  19. Thanks for all your help. Unfortunatly i will have to look online for the reel guide on what they prefer since i have lost the box and book. I bought the rod and reel years ago and then never used it till this season. Thanks again!

Hello BTech yes it sure is a small world. Hopefully i will find some good fishing around here so if you ever come back this way i can give you some spots to try out.
  21. I am down to about my last length of line. I need to respool the line on my reel. I have just about enough line that i can get just shy of a full cast so its time. I have looked at the the other articles but didnt see one on tips on how to respool a reel? Any suggestions with how to do this and which lines you like to use. I did read the suggestions on lines just thought i would ask those willing to respond that is all. Thanks again
  22. I fish from the banks of the ponds here in my neighborhood so i stand 90-100 percent of the time only time i sit is if i get a sore back from fishing to long then i sit on my takle box or ground for 5 or so min and back to the feet.
  23. Sounds good... Sounds like their are good Crappie, LMB, and some other smaller specied in this pond i fish. Where do you fish here in OCean City?
  24. I was shore fishing Monday night and saw a nice sized bass in about a foot of water if that smashing some bait fish so i dont think it can be to shallow as long as they dont beach themselves they can be caught in any depth. Thats my experience from just the other night other wise i am new and could be totally wrong
  25. Still no luck! Got out Monday night and saw a sweet looking large mouth right against the shore line and was a tossing a wacky hooked zoom bait 7 inch worm but not sure if I'm jigging it right. The bass never went after it. I changed to a Texas rig as best i could rig it and no go. I know they are they but it will take some time. Nothing but patients here...
