  1. looking for a bass club in the juneau county area of WI. Would be a mid week group(work weekends). PM if you have or know of a group. Thanks
  2. Sadness me to watch this knowing I still have 10+" of ice on the lakes around me :'(
  3. is there a site out there that gives directions to boat launches? I did look on different map engines. Any help would be good thanks
  4. here's one to turn u around about color light and weeds. this summer i caught many bass one day and was fishing alot of different areas of the same lake. it is a very clear lake can see bottom at 15+ feet. so anyways i caught alot in weeds and some on rock/sand bars. Ones in weeds were great coloring while the rock were browner and the sand bar ones were pale not much color like they were sun bleached out. just my input
  5. it is all fibor glass no bottom foam on the hull. That would be a mix of 3/4 throttle to idle. can't run full throttle or it gets air gaps in the proppeller area. its a 14 foot boot 4 feet are inclosed for the bow rear 2 feet are for gas tank and battery so i don't think its weight but i'm sure it hasn't had its carb cleaned. spark plugs look newish. thanks again
  6. we used to use suckers for muskie bait when i was younger and we would stock our pond with them and use a milk jug and worm on a hook to catch them by just throwing them into the pond and check in a couple hours if the jugs were zipping around the pond.
  7. i have a 1972 50 hp johnson. it seems like i get less then 1 hour run time on 5 gallons of gas. any idea if thats the norm? is there anything i can do to improve on this? if not i will have to get a bigger tank for my boat to run a long day of fishing on a larger lake then i normally fish. thanks in advance for any help
  8. would have to be 2 things patience and i switch baits to much but i have started only bringing a few lures with me and one pole.
  9. Welcome home! ;D
  10. this one bugged me EWG - extra wide gap BM - bait monkey BPS - bass pro shop
  11. i would like to get a reveiw on this movie if anyone has seen this. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=42742&hvarDept=100&hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=12&hvarSubCode=1&hvarTarget=browse
  12. i have a 14 foot elgin run about. Not ment for fishing but i am going to turn it into one. 1.i have a 1972 johnson 50hp motor when i run 3/4 or more throttle it sounds like i am running to high of rpm's like the motor isn't getting enough water to the prop. I useally fish allone so i have never noticed it when i have another in the boat. The prop itself is in decent shape not new but not chewed to hell. 2.When i run the motor at 3/4 or less it plains out great but it feels like it wants to push the front of the boat into the water rather then keep it up i have nothing in the bow other then life jackets. if u have any suggestions on these problems feel free to express them.
  13. i have the ifinder pro. I like it so far i am going to get the upgrade to show more local roads then what is installed from factory very helpful to me on long trips. it does go thru the double A's tho. I have found it to be very accorate on lakes that i have fished. Hope this helps
  14. i don't have a trolling motor yet but will for next season. should i run a seperate battery for that? also how do u rig your batteries(lights, finders, gps, main motor, and trolling motor)? i do have extra space to run 2 batteries. i have been reading and getting hints u al run 2 batteries. if this is the norm i'll be investing in this also once i can get a better definition on this on board charger
  15. i was reading another persons post about a on board charger and was wonding how it worked? is it like a battery that just puts out amps to other batteries that need a refill as u use them? I just got a boat the other week and the one fear is a dead battery( i fish 80% at night). I have had to pull start at night 50 hp easy enuff but wasn't battery problems. But the thought remains what if i have charging problems.
