  1. Throw a big 7-8 inch bait all day. That will get a big bass attention, it may help you findmout if there is a big one. Based on what you said, id think there may be a 7-8 pounder inmthere.
  2. I have two of these and using it the first time I can tell this lure will need alot of practice on the water to create the action like in the videos. The verdict for me on this bait is still in the air. I havn't thrown it but a couple of casts. It is fairly light and does not cast well if it is windy. I have two babybass, so if anyone wants a NIP pm me. I think this lure does have potential.
  3. Bank fishing, we were going to try a boat but it is leaking ;D Can you drive along the bank in that area??
  4. Has anyone here fished the canal that is about 11 miles south of homestead off of (South Dixie Highway?? Highway 1?) all the way south at the bottom of the state? I was wondering what you can catch there, and if there is plenty of bank access and if you can drive along it. If anyone else knows about how deep this canal is also? I really appreciate any help as I am 4 hours away and really don't want to be disappointed. Thank you all for your help!
  5. Don't care for the show at all, but I will be watching this one!
  6. 2 PB's in one day!! I *** you brother, NICE!!!! Keep posting man, like you stated who cares what others say, I personally enjoy seeing others pictures regardless of what they say the fish weighs.
  7. Agree, Captain Shane is truly a class act. He has always given me advice or pointers either via pm or my posts. Thank you Capt!
  8. Funny how these little canals produce decent fish. I overlooked a canal for five years before realizing this. Anyways, what kind of retrieve were you doing ie. cadence, length of pause. I have not been doing well on topwater even though I havn't been trying it much lately. Thanks.
  9. I forgot, check out the little ebby's. I think that's what it's called.
  10. I was looking for the same thing a year ago so I bought one of these..... http://www.***.com/Tylure_Kicker_Sunfish_5/descpage-TKS5.html#multiview Tylures kicker sunfish, smaller than the mattlures hardgill and half the price.
  11. I fish the 8 inch, 6 inch/6 inch weedless and the new special 68/ weedless shad and grass minnow. For the eight inch I have only caught a couple over 5 pounds with the biggest so far at eight. I have seen some PIGS following that bait several times. At the right time I may catch one of them BIG girls. I don't throw it as much as I should though. I honestly would say, purchase a couple of the 6 inch weedless and bottom bounce those all day long. They will get bit by the big girls too. I have caught a few over six with that one and lost several bigger. Problem was I was using a rod without enough backbone to get a good hookset with the weedless hudd. Watch the huddbait website for another batch of the special 68's to come out. Good luck, you WILL catch DD bass if you throw themenough!!!
  12. I got some 68's as well. I think another batch will be up for sale again so watch for them.
  13. I caught this one tonight. I threw the buzzjet on and got her on the second cast with it. She looks young so hopefully she has many more years to get really big! She didn't have those big old bug eyes. Sorry about the small pics, I don't know how to make them bigger.
  14. ^^^^ Ditto that... nice job fishindaddy!
  15. You have enough time to check this out. Youtube "Mikeybalzzfishing" and watch his videos from Lake O and surrounding lakes. He lists on each video what he is using and you can see his techniques. Alot of flipping videos. There are over 700 videos all with great clarity. This should give you a good idea of what to use when you get down here. Good luck.
  16. So I purchased the clackin craw and it seems ok. I was looking at the soft plastic head of this bait and was thinking of using the extra head on a football head jig or the E2 jig as a trailer with matching skirt. Any recommendations or suggestions on this idea would be appreciated! Thanks. This combination would give a much larger presentation then normally whats seen by the bass as far as jigs.

I was wondering if anyone uses the Barlows Tackle bully frog. Are these frogs salt impregnated and are they heavy enough to cast like a zoom horny toad? It appears that they are very close to the same size as well. Thank you.
  18. I agree, 39% and 50% percent increases respectively are incredible. Hopefully it is ONLY a sign of the economic times.
  19. good lord, nice job!
  20. Just got a couple of these in and fished them once for a few minutes. I got a hit on one from a smaller fish (2lb??). These are the 5 and 6 inch molded punkers. I love the action on these baits. Any suggestions on fishing techniques that have worked for you??? Are they good for deadsticking as well? Thanks everyone.
  21. last night fishing the spro shad I felt a decent thump and I set the hook. Felt like a decent fish and then it came unbuttoned. I thought I had a good hook set and when I got my spro back up I looked at it and the treble hook just came off the bait. Have no idea what happened!! Had alot of nice bites on the spro this night though.
  22. I've been trying to get my hands on a couple of those 316 freestyle shads forever now!! I'll buy one from anyone who doesn't use them, heard there not that great anyways! Looking for lavendar and white shad in the slow sink.
  23. I contacted randall about the high power herring and I know I will be purchasing a few down the road. I just recently learned about these baits about two weeks ago from here.
  24. I have about a half dozen of each of these and have caught fish with both. Funny thing is the spro seems to look nicer and have a more realistic action but I have caught a few more fish on the Revolution shad which were also larger fish. What one do you guys prefer and what ways do you fish them?
  25. same here, have caught many on 4 inch senkos letting the current take it.
