  1. Saltwater Spinning Reel Suggestions

    I have 3 inshore spinning outfits with Shimano reels on them. Two are Spheros 4000 with 7' Star 10/17 Nickelite rods. The other is a Sedona 4000 on a 7' St Croix TideMaster 10/20. The Shimano Saros is a step above both the Spheros and the Sedona. I like both of the reels I have. I have not tried a 3000 series reel. A couple of times I have had a hard time turning a fish with the 4000 size reel. I keep 20lb braid on all 3. Cast great and drags work good. Good luck on your choice. JMP
