Battery Question Charging Question
I have a 24v Trolling motor with 4 identical deep cycle batteries. I run 2 batteries parallel and the other two the same way. Then I run the standard wiring system for a 24 volt TM. Right now im struggling with my chargers and looking to invest in a onboard charger. My question is do I need a 4 bank charger or can I get by with a 2 bank charger since the batteries are run in parallel? Would hooking up a 4 bank help charge the batteries faster or would it interfere with the battery charging that is connected parallel to it. I don't wanna spend the big $ on the 4 bank if its won't benifit me but am willing to do it if its needed.

Baby Brush Hog
Go big or go home! Use the Brush Hog... I prefer to not fish a bait with baby in the name. I have good success flipping these baits. I will however Carolina rig a baby brush hog if im out of french frys

sinking spros
I have a couple of lil jons that are taking on water. They still run good under the water but they sink like a stone. Most of them are cracked from me hitting rocks or docks casting. Is there any way of fixing these baits? Or should I just keep using them the way they are? Thanks for any input

What are you most happy about that you added to your boat?
good electronics a fast trolling motor and a recessed tray for my foot pedal. Theses are the things I have added to my boat since June.

Kermy Vs. Spro
I love to frog fish and did my share of it last summer. My hook up ratio was fair. But when you say most people don't know how to set the hook elaborate. What makes a good hook set with the frog. I feel I am doing the right thing but if you can shed some light on what a real frog hook set is than it may help me and others. Just don't make a statement that makes people feel belittled. I have a fancy shirt with patches too

Trip to my home lake
I took a week off work and just fished, sun up to sundown. I live in NC and water temps were 42-45. The firsts couple days were tough I was fishing slow thinking the fish needed to be force feed. The 3rd day I decided to go against a lot I hear or read and catch fish. I used shallow running lil johns at a good speed. And also developed some jerkbait skills. From that day on I caught over 100 bass (including some big ones for my lake) in the following days including my home lake PB 7.4 . Nice to have a week to explore and expand my fishing knowledge. Here are some pics of some of the fun I had!

using worm binders to hold your soft plastic bait ?
I've got 2 of the bps binders. One for soft plastics and one for jigs and trailers. Works great !

Jerkbait Thread
Another thought I have been wrestling with is throwing the baits on 30lb braid. The water color is gin and there is current to break up sun penetration(however I am catching alot of my fish in current breaks). How much force is needed to straighted out the hooks or pull a lure free from a snag? Like I said I was using 14-17 pd fluorocarbon. Thoughts? Comments?

Jerkbait Thread
yeah checked them out. $$$ Any company make a jerkbait that dives and suspends 4-6 feet without the price tag of a luckycraft. I bought some smaller Rapala Slash baits but they weigh 1/4 and is a tad bit of wind gets going.. I'm screwed Maybe I need to buy bigger baits and forget about my superstitions about size. Or give my spinning rod a workout

Jerkbait Thread
hmm nice concept.. Im fishing 14-17 pound flouro.. so this could work good .. Losing a 16$ lure not ony cost money but effects my attitude during a tourney

Jerkbait Thread
I have a really good jerkbait bite going on right now catching spots and largemouth. I have been throwing the Lucky Craft 78 american shad. This is the color and size that has been the most productive (through trial and error). However I am losing one of these per trip getting hung up or fish hanging me up in heavy current. Can anyone recommend any better alternative? I need something with some weight to it as the wind is in play and I deal with mostly baitcasters. Its tough paying for gas/oil losing one or two of these baits and trying to cash and making it profitable

Reading for 100 days thought, I would introduce myself
Been reading the site for awhile and it is GREAT! My name is Bob and I am from North Carolina. I mostly fish lake Wylie and have been fishing all my life. Instead of just reading I figured I was not being fair and figured I would start posting. I fish as much as I can usualy 3-4 days a week and hope to share my experiences as most of you do. Thanks for a awesome site!

What are your fishing Weaknesses?
Continuing to use the same pattern in the same areas for weeks even if it slows down. I've been throwing a shallow running crank for a month and it produced excellent a couple weeks ago but now im lucky to get a few bites. I get stuck on baits after I learn to use them effectively. Winter is here and I need to learn to slow down. The bass are not going to chase my lure I may get a reaction bite if I get it in front of there face but the shallow crank bite is not the best option now. Also electronics
