  1. I got one about two weeks ago, and I think I had one wake up today throwing a frog. I hit up the creek this afternoon and didnt get a bite. Before dark I moved to the front of riverside and got a few on a frog.
  2. what part of 4 mile run were you guys fishing? I got two off the front of riverside yesterday morning, both on top water. I might head back out there today after some football.
  3. Bite was great today off of riverside, I got two pretty quick on senkos. Then decided to chuck some bigger baits, first was a spro bbz shad, first cast i had one boil up behind it then nothing for about a half hour. Changed to a buzz jet jr and pulled in two dinks in as many casts, but it did land one real nice fish. (sorry for the bad pics)
  4. I think the potomac record is around 11lbs and is the md state tidal record, the 16lber was pulled from conner lake (lake conner? cant remember) which is a good little ways south of us. Dont get me wrong I like catching big fish, but I wont chuck some lure all day and catch nothing its just not for me. When the bite is what it is, 3inch senkos are hard to beat. I think we should probably save a team tourny for spring at this point, but im game.
  5. I think Qui-Gon JinJig is taking this thread too seriously. However, the whole apples and oranges thing. This is all i'm trying to say and i don't want it to sound insulting. Some fathers play catch with their sons. Other fathers put 3" senkos on their boy's fishing line, and afterwards take them to dance class to become a ballerina. All i'm saying is lilhuntinggeek is a dancer. That's all. What? What did i say? sounds like shimmy's got some sand in a sensitive area
  6. I got out for about an hour and a half, got 4 off the front of riverside, on 4inch senkos. the color of choice was a chart/lime lam, i fished darker colors first and couldnt get a bite on them. Im gonna try to get back down there tomorrow afternoon.
  7. I hope your better with a minnow net than a fishing rod ;D
  8. Yep and he'd still be bigger than your zero fish ;D
  9. I take LittleHunting - He looks like he would rob Shimmys sack before he let him win ;D P.s. LittleHunting where you down there today right at 2? Yea i was out there today, its was tough broke one off and missed a handfull of bites, only caught 1 yellow perch. I think I might have jinxed myself talkin about other peoples empty sacks
  10. my pet goldfish will still out weight your empty sack ;D
  11. This was the first fish, taken on 3inch blue fleck senko
  12. you cant keep posting up every day sayin your catching 12-15 bass without some pics. Post'em up and tell me where youre catchin all these fish. I have been back to hunting creek 2 times since I went with thai and not even a nibble on anything I threw. I got a pic of one on my phone ill see about posting it up. I havent had much luck up in the creek either as of late. However, at high tide off the front of riverside park is a different story plently of fish there just gotta find them and hammer them quick before tide starts out.
  13. fished from noon till 3 got about 12 large mouths all on 3 and 4inch senkos, big fish was pushing 4lbs, tried frogs spinnerbaits, and a popper only had one fish miss a popper. Also had a few snakeheads followin the senkos.
  14. Im confused so catching fish is giving up, Id say not catching a fish all day and being to hardheaded to throw a 3inch stick would be giving up, but hey somethings you gotta learn on the water.
  15. blue fleck seem to be the ticket, im not sure I tried another color.
  16. I hit up the front of riverside with a buddy and we got about 15 between us, all fish came on 3inch senkos. Sadly im not sure we cracked two pounds with any of them. Around dark and low tide the frog bite turned on but damnd if i could hook up, missed two nice ones.
  17. gravelly point, is that roaches run? If so ive been there once or twice and never really had much luck. But if you put your canoe in up there you'll be in dc waters and need a dc license (just something to remember). Ive heard the bird sanctuary is a carp pond, never fished it though.
  18. revos are pretty awsome. the bite was tough today I tossed everything I had at em and only got two bites, and only caught one striper, i gotta get up and early and hit the front tomorrow.
  19. That sucks, it was too cold for me this morning but im thinkin about headin out for some afternoon action, whered you fish?
  20. Yea you can get down on all side of the bridge, but off the front at riverside has been my most productive spot this year, you just gotta catch high tide.
  21. hunting creek its just before old town alexandria and theres not much of homes around it, im guessing you mean little hunting creek, and the best place to park for there is riverside park and just walk up to the bridge.
  22. I fished off the front of riverside park today, and got about 7 or 8 mostly on flukes fished weightless, with 2 or 3 on a spinnerbait and 1 on a rico. I keep expecting the topwater bite to get better as the day goes but the last two days only hits on top were both right around sunrise. Around 9:30 the bite died down so I headed up to hunting creek, fished for hours. I Only caught one nice lg mouth on a spinnerbait.
  23. Up in the creek the last few days has been tough, try the grass just north of the creek, I had about 7 or 8 today before tide started going out and they shut down (the hot bait was a fluke).
