Handguns
I forgot to add that they come with 3 different grip inserts... Fits anyone's hands, doesn't matter if you have small or really large hands... There are the rest of my plinkers... The Colt woodsman is by far my favorite, it don't miss with that little beauty.

Buying a New Truck Question
I would go with a Dodge, they sit higher than any ford or chevy and have plenty of power with the 5.7l

Ford Ranger
Civics are nice reliable cars... One of the guys I fish with has a hatchback and all of our poles can fit in it if we fold down the back seat. I don't like putting poles in the back of my truck because I am afraid they will get all scratched up ect. When I go out I usually take my wifes highlander or my corolla.

You can fit a 7' rod in a sedan... You can probably find a Corolla for cheap that will give you storage and can fit the poles in the car if you fold down the back seats.

can you define crappy gas milage? 14-16 mpg in a small truck... I get 12-13.xx city mpg in my Dodge with a 5.9l gas engine fully loaded...

Ford Ranger
I could care less about any of these things mentioned. If I wanted to buy a fast car, I would have bought a 5.0. The gas mileage all depends on the way you drive it. I have gotten 25 mpg driving very conservatively, but that's not how I usually drive. I am mainly selling because it is too small. My 7' rods can't fit in it and there is hardly any storage space. 5.0 wouldn't get you anywhere fast either buddy without some mods... That's pretty good gas mileage for the GT's, definitely not what I have seen before. I dont know, do what you want, but I think even 4-4500 grand is way to much for a ranger.

Also is your car payed off? If it is, why buy something thing that you will have to make payments on and pay way to much for it?
-
Ford Ranger
The ones I have been around always had problems... They are very heavy, very under powered, slow, and not to mention the gas mileage sucks. Why sell that to buy something else that is going to get crappy gas mileage?

Why are you saying my current car is a POS? You have never even seen it. Is it a VR-4?
-
Ford Ranger
I would look for something else for that price... I bought my 2002 Dodge Ram quad cab fully loaded (leather, power everything, 4x4 ect ect) with only 69k on it for 8 grand... Deals are out there there man. If you do buy it don't post it here because you will have several people saying I told you so! Selling a POS to get another old expensive POS is a bad idea...

4 or 6 cylinder? The 4 bangers suck, but the 6's have some decent power for what it is... My buddy had a Ranger with a 4 in it and it could hardly pull the the truck itself lol.

Poll: Rod Sensitivity Casting vs. Spinning
I vote casting just because of how I hold it. I put my pointer finger under the line to feel for bites just out of habit, I cant do that with a spinning outfit.

December Salmon fishing
We just went to Kenosha Wi and were catching them on play dough (pink and green) with no weights at all, just let it bounce on the bottom, and salmon/trout egg sacks about 4-6ft deep on a bobber. With the play dough make it a nice size ball, about the size of a small plum with a small trouble hook. The eggs you want to use about a size 6 hook so when you hook the sack you cant see the hook. If they see the hook they wont bite. Also people were catching them on turquoise orange and green inlines, jerkbaits, rattletraps, and spoons. Hope this helps.

Same reels or Different reels?
I like to use different also, I like a little variety I guess... I have a Revo silvermax, Revo STX, Citica D, Citica E, and a PQ. I think the next purchase will be a Diawa if I cant find another STX for a good price around Christmas time.

Post some fishing love (Photo Thread)
My Fuego's are pretty jacked up, but I can toss a Pro-Senko on a 1/0 EWG hook 60' or-so. That Fuego is mounted on a LTB 7' "Teaser" rod and spooled with 12# Yo-Zuri Ultra-Soft. For a most-excellent reel that can cast light baits extremely well right out-of-the-box, look at the Daiwa SOL. They are available for about $160 shipped right now on ebay. Killer deal. My Sol's on an LTB 6'8" M/XF that is well suited to light baits I'll have to look into that, I only need one reel that can cast light baits, and would like to use my STX for my fog reel.

How is that Fuego with light baits? I have been thinking about picking up another reel that can handle light baits well.

Which reel out of this list?
The triumph isn't a bad rod for the money, you should be happy with it.

New Sufix 832 Superline
The first time I've used braid on a baitcaster I used 30lb and it would dig in really bad and would break off if it would catch during a cast. I took some advise from some people on the forum and started using 50-65lb and I haven't had a problem yet.

Went with the Revo STX!
Your going to love it man, I wish I had all STX's in my arsenal...
