  3. I haven't yet but I have a tourney there this year, I cant wait to fish it.
  4. At least your wife cooks lol.
  5. That guy is nuts standing so close to that gator!
  6. I already have my order in the computer, I just need to add some bargain bin items and hit summit.
  7. I would work a drop shot, keeping the bait in the strike zone longer will increase your chances of a strike on a pond like this...
  8. I'm in the same boat, if I handled the finances we would be in trouble. I will ask her and she always says sure if we have the funds.
  9. What time Friday? lol I want to make sure I don't miss out on this.
  10. Looks like you took the bait! Once you get married she will be like, what boat?
  11. The bite was tough farmpond, I cant wait for our next trip to Newton or our other honey hole! Thanks Paul, there are some fat bass in that lake, that's for sure.
  12. Last year after a good rain I went to the pond behind my house with a buzzbait and caught 25 bass in about 35-40 minutes. Definitely a great time, after a rain its all topwater for me.
  13. Welcome!

Monday-Friday I wake up at 4:25am, run two miles, take a shower and head to work at 5:30 to be there by 6. I get home and I am in bed by 8:30-9 and do it all over again. The weekends I will usually stay up till 9-12am depending if I go out or not (hardly ever go out anymore because of my daughter, so I am usually in bed by 9) and I am always up by 6am without an alarm. The start of Spring/Summer (April) I am up at 3:30am once a month on a Sunday to fish my monthly tournament. Who needs to sleep in???
  15. ^^ Word yo!
  16. Out in the middle of the pond it gets pretty matted up with grass so you need a heavier jig to get it to the bottom, and the scum isn't as bad either. I only need the heavier jigs when I am fishing from my boat. I agree fishing a heavy jig from the bank sucks because all you will bring back is gunk but out in the middle you need something to get pass all the grass.
  17. You got that right.
  18. The first time I put my little boat on the pond behind my house it was about 85* no wind at all, and my wife just threw out a bobber with a worm on, it wasn't but 30 seconds later she tied on to a something big that was pulling my boat all over the pond lol. She finally got it in and it was a good 12-15lb cat, good times.
  19. I was thinking the same thing lol, the Wisconsin heat must make him act funny or something. Please tell me you were joking around when you took that picture.
  20. You haven't seen the pond behind my house lol, I need a 1oz to get through all the grass.
  21. Thanks everyone, here are a couple more from the rest of the day.
  22. Thanks, usually I can flip the line or put my rod tip to the bait to get it out but it was wedged in there pretty good, but I got my baby back that landed me the rest of the fish that day. 8-)
  23. I was fishing the warm arm of the lake, and all the bass came off primary points using a jig. So I would say anywhere between 1-10ft... I was told to look for shad jumping and throw a spinnerbait or a fluke in the boil but we never saw any.
  24. Thanks. The water temps ranged from 60-65, it was a tough day to fish but managed a couple good ones.
  25. The day started out a little slow not being able to find the shad or bass but it heated up at 11am. I was able to get this beauty on a black and blue 1/2oz football head Northstar jig with a rage tail chunk. Oh yeah my sleeve is all wet because I refused to give up my Northstar jig to some submerged timber so I went in after it lol. Ended up catching a total of 3 nice bass with one miss.
