Welcome, I had my first child last year and it has slowed down my fishing also, but its definitely worth it. Welcome.
  3. Ended up getting a 50lb thrust Minn Kota Edge. I think it will work very well for what we are going to use it for.
  4. Go home lol, but really if I see that I tend to fish a little deeper...
  5. Leaning toward the Minn Kota Edge, I can get a 50lb thrust for 369.00
  6. So I am looking to buy my dad a foot controlled trolling motor for his birthday for this new 14ft john boat. I have been looking at 45-46lb thrust but dont know what brand to buy. I have been looking at Minn Kota edge, Minn Kota powerdrive V2 (looks easy to use), Motorguide wireless series (looks convenient and easy to use), or the motorguide pro series. I have never bought or used any of these because I don't have a boat myself, so I am interested what you guys have to say about each brand and models. Any help would be great.

Rampage got smoked, I love it.
  8. Yeah man you need a new scale. That fish isn't close to 13lbs, did you really have scale with you??? It's kinda hard to believe what you say sometimes...
  9. Or a 7lb bass to a 13lb bass.
  10. You got that right lol.
  11. Northstar jig and rage craw here.
  12. I now have coffee all over my laptop, thanks! lol
  13. Nice fish but definitely not 13lbs, I would buy a new scale... A club member at our tournament this weekend caught one about that size and it went 7lbs 5oz.
  14. I put a scope on my using a long eye relief scope. It shoots great and you only have to take the rear sites off. Ammo for the gun is or use to be dirt cheap. I bought 440 rounds for 90 bucks.
  15. Love my mosin, and for 100 bucks you can go wrong.
  16. I didnt fire a single shot Sept. 1st The temperature was 103 so that kept most of them away. I went out a couple days after opening day (after a couple coolers days) and me and a buddy got 25.
  17. I wish I could but I already have two dogs... My wife would kick I disagree if I brought home a new dog lol.
  18. I usually put the hook right through the back, that will keep it alive for awhile and can get good hooksets also.
  19. I forgot to mention that all V series rods have a 3 warranty, that's pretty hard to pass up IMHO...
  20. Check out the Abu Garcia Veritas, by far my favorite rod I have held and used. They are 99 bucks but if you shop around you could find them cheaper.
  21. I don't think its a deposit, its just what it cost to turn on the power. Around here is 100 bucks to have your power turned on if you are moving into a new place. Most of the time you can work something out with the person that use to live in the place to not have the power turned off and just transfer the names on the account to as some money.
  22. I love my Veritas, by far my favorite rod in my arsenal. Very light, and sensitive!
  23. Conceal carry whats that??? I dont think IL will ever pass that...
  24. You got that right! Highschool weight was 135-145 (wrestling weight), college I was at a healthy 175-180, and after getting married and having a full time job I am at 206. I plan on starting to run in the mornings and working out, but have to be at work by 6am so 4am comes around pretty early, especially when you have a nine month old.
