I thought you couldn't fish any of the docks at Egypt... I was pretty sure I heard that you have to be at least 10ft away from any dock if you are fishing.

Nice! They are a nasty fish for sure, but fight good. A guy that works with one of my buddy's caught but didn't know what it was, and he lipped it to try to get the hook out! My buddy said his thumb was all tore up.

I have never done well with the rage fogs(with hook ups), but thats just because I couldnt get them to run right side up. I purchased some keel weighted hooks and will be trying them again this year... Spro frog, and fluke are both great in grass. Drop the fluke into a whole in the grass and hold on!

I would give a buzzbait a shot, they will still hit topwater with the cooler water. I caught a 5lb 11oz bass on a buzzbait at 6:30 in the morning with air temps in the low 40's... If thats not working for ya work the swim jigs and regular jigs in the grass..

How are they doing that? Someone should make a video on how to get a hook out of someone... It just looks like they are tying braid around the barb that went into the skin and pulling it straight out? I've had a cut so bad that it was in almost and 1/8 and had to have my buddy pull it out. That happened to me because I didnt move my fingers in time...

I have only been fishing in the pond behind my house but have been catching decent size and numbers. Our tournaments start this month for our club, so I will be getting out more.

I ALWAYS fish with my finger on the line, except moving baits... Yeah braid can suck when it digs in to your finger but it will heal lol, and it has only happened once... If you are use to fishing with your finger on the line I would make all other setups the same. I couldnt imagine fishing without my finger on the line, it just feels natural for me.

Purchase a Veritas winch MH 7'6", and spend the rest of your money on something else...

I also have the Veritas Winch MH 7'6" rod and like it a lot. Its a very sensitive rod that I believe can do anything you want cranking wise with it,

I would also think about getting a reel with a higher gear ratio... I like to use 6.4 or higher for plastics and jigs.

I hope I get atleast a 3/0 hook, all of these looks that are mentioned I never use... I think they are just unloading thier most unpopular hooks on us.

I would say the switch might be going out... I had something similar happen to me, and my switch burnt up. Bypass the switch and see if it works, if it does you know its the switch.

If I remember right I think they have a rough ride to them, but I could be mistaken...
