  1. Good on ya! I'm going to try and go slam so crappies tomorrow, probably, maybe, possibly, more than likey, chuck for a few green fish to.
  2. Got out Sunday, Caught a little 2 1/2 lber. and some dinks, can't upload the pic cause file is to big and I don't know how to fix it. Also caught a bunch of crappies. Water temp was between 49 and 52.
  3. Eric 26 started following Tom H.
  4. It was a balmy 25 degrees here this morning when I got up. I think we ended up with a little over an inch of rain Thur-Fri.. Got my boat rigged back up Thur before the rain. May run out this afternoon when it warms up. Kinda feel sorry for the guys I talked to last night that are fishing a kayak tourney today. I'd hate to take a dip with it being this chilly.
  5. This is true on the crappie guided trips I've been to on lakes I have no knowledge on. Could I pull my boat 3-4 hours away and figure it out yeah, Do I want to when I can call a guide and have him load 3 of us in the boat and put us on fish, I promise ya, that couple hundred dollars was well spent on their knowledge. I can only imagine a bass guide would be about the same.
  6. Anyone been out yet? I walked a lake bank Saturday and caught a whooping 10 incher. Waiting on the weather to break so I can get out and get my boat set back up.
  7. I have a few places that are within a 20-30 min drive to fish. Just depends on where I feel like going. Been taking a few trips a year to different places the last few years so those are averaging between 6-8 hours round trip just to try different lakes.
  8. Looks good man, If you haven't stumbled upon tiny boat nation on you tube yet, check them out. They do some pretty cool little builds and have given me some ideas for my boat.
  9. Congrats to Hank Cherry for winning. Where was the crowd? Couldn't have been but 200 people at the weigh-in from the drone shots. If bass fishing is growing you'd have thought more than that. I'm dating myself now but the BassMaster SuperStars in the early 90's in Illinois had way bigger crowds than that.
  10. We caught 10 keeper gills is all. Was nice to get out for a bit.
  11. Absolutely eat bass, My good friend has a 23 acre lake and was told by Biologists that in order to sustain good populations of fish that he needs to take 20 lbs of bass, 30 lbs of bluegill, and every d**n crappie per acre. Evidently Crappie can screw a lake up real fast.
  12. Winter time blues... Anyone been out on the frozen tundra yet? Going to go hit the ice tomorrow just to be out now that it's back in the 20's here.
  13. @TnRiver46 That's what the reg book says.
  14. Culprit original 7.5 worm in the bluegill color. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore which really sucks cause I have like 5 left.
  15. Olives (Green or Black) worst stuff in the world... Now when ice out shows up I'll play just for *** and giggles IL LMB - 13 lbs 1 oz IL SMB - 7 lbs 3 oz IL Spot - 7 lbs 3.12 oz
  16. Roger that Fellas, Right now I have a 31 series cranking battery and a 27 series accessory battery. Cranking battery runs the trolling motor also and no I haven't had a problem with the motor starting after the TM has been running. I noticed the 27 dropping down to 11.7 v with my BB, 93, and 106. No other accessory running at the time. Guess maybe I'll look into a bigger batt or go with a lithium.
