Boat Carpet Alternative
I have an older aluminum Bass Tracker and the carpet is getting beat. I am thinking seriously of pulling up the carpet, prepping the floor, and then coating it with rubberized paint used for concrete decks. I figure it will be easy to apply, durable and no-skid. I don't really care what it looks like, I'll use something light like tan to hide the dirt and keep it a bit cool. Anyone try this? Thoughts or suggestions?

Mono Stretch
Excellent! Thanks for the chart. Another review from the early 2000s showed original Stren having excellent abrasion resistance and coming in about third place overall out of 100 mono and fluorocarbon lines, regardless of price. Too bad we can't get a head to head comparison with Stren and Big Game.

Mono Stretch
Which line has less stretch, Berkeley Big Game or Original Stren?

FARM 13 / STICK MARSH
What is the real story with this area? One local guide says the fishing is so poor he won't take clients there anymore. Other guides are giving reports saying the lakes are as good as ever. I was planning a trip and the reports were so conflicted I gave up. What is the report from local fisherman?

Good small fishing boat?
Have you considered buying a couple of float tubes or pontoon boats? These are cheap and portable and very comfortable. I have caught tons of fish from my tubes over the years. Even though I own a bass boat boat, I still prefer my tube for pure simplicity occasionally.

The specs in the ad claimed the vehicle had a to be a 1999 or newer with a special 7 pin plug. I have a '94.

Storing boat - charging battery
Looks cool, but my truck is too old for the circuitry.

Storing boat - charging battery
I just moved to a place where I can't store my boat in the garage. I can't afford inside storage so I plan to store it outside in a locked and gated area. The boat is an old aluminum Bass Tracker and I am not concerned about the weather beating it up. The problem is that the storage areas have no power to charge batteries. What is the best way to maintain the trolling motor battery? I assume I will have to pull it out and take it home to charge after each trip. What is the best system of quick-disconnects, carry systems, etc. to do this?
