Looks like there are a bunch of Florida folks here. Good thing we can fish all year it would be crowded on the lakes and shores otherwise.

LED's are the way to go. I don't unplug either.

Thanks guys. I'm shore bound right now. I burnt a piston in my boat and the pontoon needs a trailer before I'm willing to travel with it. After that I'll take you up on some local spots.

So I have been wanting to go fishing as of late. We just got a boat this year for cruising around and hanging out with the family unit. So I poked around on the net and found this site and a few others. I've never been much of a fisherman but I did go from time to time when I was a kid. Well last week I decided to get some tackle and fish the pond I live on. Hoping to decide weather I want to pick up another hobby. So today after a trip to the sporting goods store and digging out some cheapo rods stashed at in my dad's old garage I did it. I figured there must be some pan fish out there so that is what I was looking for. I learned I need a reel that is better shape and that there are bass out there. My kid just went down for a nap so he missed it. I just I'll have to try again when he is awake. Thanks for the info you guys have stored up here. Looks like I may have another hobby to feed.
