Triple Fish makes braid called Bully Braid and I am impresed with how far it casts. It doesn't backlash as often as other braids either. I use braid when fishing a jig or carolina rig. I'm using 50 lb braid and with the carolina rig, I use a Triple Fish fluorocarbon leader.

Guys, try this. Run your line through the jighead and then through the eyelet. pull about 6 inches of slack on both sides of the eyelet. place your left pinky on the eyelet in between the two strands with the tag end in your left thumb and forefinger and twist the line over 6 times. Then, run the tag end through the bottom where your pinky is. Sinch it up. Try this a few times and it is simple. I can tie one on very quickly during a night tournament in the rain...

You said which Jig is best. I have to say that www.verticallures.com carries the best jig ever introduced to bass fishing, JigX. It is specially designed for grass, but works well in any cover or bottom composition. I have had alot of success skipping the 1/2 ounce model under docks. The streamline head design allows it to skip easier. The line tie is located under the mold of the head, which does two things for you. 1. It keeps your knot from grabbing grass and junk. 2. It protects your knot from bumping into cover so you never get a knot fray. The mustad hook on this jig was specifically designed for it. It is heavy gauge and large. Another good thing is that you can opt to add rattles, which come with it or leave them off. If you are a jig fisherman, you have to get one of these. If you have never fished with a jig, this is the one you want. I completely replaced my jig box with Jig X.
