  1. 5 1/2 foot ultra light with a bitsy minnow.
  2. The temps. here on Long Island will be around freezing through the first week in March. I'm starting to lose hope.
  3. I use an Outdoors Products waist pack that I paid $10 for. It fits my small first aid kit, a stowaway for hard baits a few bags of plastics a bunch of packs of Gamagatzus, some bullet sinkers and I clip my needle nose on the belt. I can't see needing anything else as I like to travel light. that's a lot of stuff for one day. maybe more than I need. Using ultra light tackle helps I guess. A big backpack will destroy my back more than it already is. But to each his own.
  4. Don't forget to purchase a good pair of polarized glasses. Not only will they help you see through the water but they protect your eyes from flying hooks.
  5. i use 4" finess fish fished weightless in the shallows.
