  1. Sweet, i am in high school right now and play football and basketball if i could fish for the school then i quit all other sports. fishin is the best.
  2. Welcome i am new as well and i check the boards everyday because my bass knowledge keeps growin.
  3. This is a good one :). One day i was on my way to school and i took a "sick day" and i stoped off at a local golf course pond. I brought my poles in a golf bag and a guy that worked there came up to me and asked what i was doing. I told him that i came close to hitting into this pond. Then he told me that the course was closed for the day . He took me to the club house and told me to wait for him while he got the boss. Then i realized that i had to run very quickly out the front door. ;D ;D ;D Caught some big ones that day to.
  4. Weightless is the best. I fish them around very thick cover like a fallen tree or weeds. You can cast them or I had luck flippin them. They are a great way to catch fish just dont use them all the time there are other great was to catch big fish.
  5. I saw an episode of classic patterns with Gerald Swindle and it improved my jig skipping alot. I think that u can buy the shows on dvd.
  6. ReelMech The ones I caught last night did have sharp teeth they tore my thumb up when I held them . If they are eatting shad what should I use?
  7. That was a great idea I went and picked up a few husky jerks and used them tonight caught 3 bass 15in, 18in, and 13in. While driving around I found a new 5 acre pond can't wate to try it out. Thanks Marty and Raul
  8. I have tried senkos, zoom trick worms, tubes, carolina rigs, and spinnerbaits and only caught two fish on those all year. I think that bass or crappie could be chasing minnows because i see baitfish on top swimming around in the middle of the ponds. I was going to try a jerkbait but i really am not sure what that is or what to buy.
  9. Where i live there is three little ponds that have big bass in them, but they are hard to catch. The only thing i have caught them on this summer is buzzbaits when it is almost dark. The only cover is rocks and a few weeds that are growing right next to the bank. I dont know what to do because their is no cover and i get mad because i cant locate any bass. Any thing i can do?
  10. When i have a bad day or even a bad week i just use the lures i love to use like buzzbaits and more buzzbaits. Or fish for something that is easy to catch like panfish. You just got to work the slump off.
