Camp Mack Resort
May 2nd 2009 BFL had a Gator Division out of Camp Mack and I think it was around a dozen boats that got broke into. I am not positive that the boats that got broken into were all parked at Camp Mack. I thought I heard that they were parked at other hotel around close to the Lake. The guys broke rod lockers and took everything I heard one Guy had 20 Gloomis rods taken, one guy got the fiberglass cut out of the side of his boat to get the locker bar off. Luckily my Boater drove over that morning so nothing had happened to his boat. It was a horrible sight to see when I was sitting in the Lock waiting to get into Toho and coanglers were giving half of there rods to the boater to borrow for the day.

Florida Cold Snap Help!
Do you ever add weight to the slash bait to get it down deeper? like put lead wire around the shank of the hook or are we Florida boys fishing so shallow its unnecessary. I just saw kevin short doing that in this months Bassmaster but Ill def have one tied on in a few days when Im prefishing Istokpoga cause thats the only thing I feel confident I can locate them with when its this cold.

Beaver Style Lures
use a 1/4 oz bullet weight and a 5/0 extra wide gap hook. Keep it simple its the number one bait thrown on a Texas Rig. Are u fishing out of a boat or from the shore? cause if ur in a boat ur basically making an underhand 5 foot cast to any type of cover. from the shore make any kind of cast and work it anyway you want and just let the fish tell you what to do.

Things that make you go hmmmmm?
BASS opens are allowed nets and back before the very entertaining Bassmaster Elite series there were the Top 150's which let the anglers use nets. So it is not just a BASS thing it is clearly a TV thing. If an organization designed by anglers PAA lets the Anglers keep nets in their boats obviously they like having them. When a fish is often held vertically and is heavy enough the Jaw may break. Even though it makes the most exciting part of the show much longer and more intense but when a guy lips a bass and celebrates appose to someone who nets a fish and celebrates what is better for the fish?

lokking to fish tourns in tampa area & need help.
I have been a member of Castaways Bass Fishing since 2007 and its a really well run small boat Team tournament trail. I fished Pond Jumpers for three seasons and those were really cool but he decided to stop doing it after the 25 years or so. But its a lot of the same Anglers from Pond Jumpers, a good group of people. 17ft max and 40 hp max, we fish from January to October, 12 tournaments with 2 in February, 2 in June, and 1 each of the other months. We fish Istokpoga, Toho, Hatchineha, Kissimmee, Winter Haven Chain, Walk in Water, Tarpon (which is real close to you), and a few others. He pays four places and gives plaques and trophys. $50 team entry and $15 annual membership. The tournament directors name is Johnny Lockaby and he does a great job. I can give you his phone number if you are interested.
