Preferred plastic for a carolina rig?
I like Grande Bass Rattlesnakes a lot on a c-rig.

Trout infested bass water!
Find out the stocking schedule and have a variety of different sized swimbaits in different sink rates. Those newly stocked trout are going to be dazed and confused and swim slowly around in tight schools, making them an easy target for the bass. Once they acclimate to their new surroundings they'll spread out, get caught , and get eaten. (by people) Get them while the prey are at their most vulnerable.

Custom hand poured SNAKES
Those look awesome! How long are they? Great work!

Not a bass reel but...
Avet, and the more rounded one looks like an Accurate. Loved my Avets when I was near the ocean.

bass pro shops prolite special
if BPS sold a reel for $50 that preformed like a Sol, it would change everything. Yes it would change everything. I had the last version of the Prolite and for a finesse casting reel it handled those duties very nicely. Like I said, if I were looking for a new finesse reel, I'd be very interested in these. For $50 they might have hit a home run. BTW I don't think BPS makes junk, there are exceptions I'm sure, but for the money I think they put out a decent product. They just don't have an elitist aura surrounding them.

It does look like a Sol. Wonder if it performs like one. I'd be very curious if I were wanting another reel right now.

Curado 50e question...
Yes it is plastic. Yes it does fit, but you should get the drag nut from the 200e as well. I haven't done it yet and don't know how much it costs (or if it's worth it) but if you do could you let me know how much it costs. Thanks
-
so I bought a 50e
Everybody has their own likes and dislikes, but I like the slower gearing on the Curado so much better than the 7:1 on the Core. That's just me, but I just like the feel of it. I think you'll like the reel whichever way you set it up.

Abu Veritas- I'm impressed
At the price that they are being offered and the quality of the components that are on the rods, titanium sics really standing out, it seems that Abu has really hit a homerun. A buddy just got a Veritas/Premier spinning combo and it is very, very nice. Nice crisp action, and super light. Maybe they price the rods so reasonably, so it offsets the cost of the higher end reels that they offer. Which I am a big fan of btw.

This might be a tough one..
The FAT Ika isn 't the only Ika available, the 3" Ika is quite light, casts better on a spinning reel /ML-M rod unless you 've got a Pixy/Alphas-Sol to do the job. Yes I do.

This might be a tough one..
Great bait for skipping under docks and boats. I have a couple BPS extremes I got on sale for $69.00 Love 'em. Didn't even think of that!

I haven't tried it myself but this is what they use. I don't know what size though. [ftp]http://www.buyheatshrink.com/braidedsleeving/pet-braided-sleeving.htm[/ftp]

This might be a tough one..
Why throw an Ika on a spinning rod?

2nd rod build
Nice work, for a shakyhead rod try a SJ 842 or maybe even the new SJ 841 that just came out. I'm gonna build an 841 soon.

Does this rod exist?
You could have one made for you or make it yourself. You could buy a blank and cut it to whatever length/action that you prefer. If you diy, the cost is not much more than a production rod. Just a thought.
