a very inexpensive rod that I find unbeatable for tubin and grubin is the ray scott sport tackle 6' 9''. I will use 6lb floro when there are not zebra mussels. otherwise 6 lb xt works great as well. It is hard to beat this set-up in clear water!!!

Sturgeon Bay and Lake Winnibago continully produce lots of monster smallmouth . Tubes, grubs, spinnerbaits, and jerkbaits will almost always catch fish .Try main lake points or isolated rock humps and you will eventually run into a toad.
