  1. NICE!!!! Thanks for that advice. I pretty much had the basics of that but got some good info that I didn't know reguarding color.
  2. Get some natural/earth-tone colors for clear water. Variations of browns and greens. In clear water bass get a real good look at your lure so it needs to look as natural as possible. For stained and muddy waters it is good to have real brite or real dark colors. I have real good success with black and blue combo.
  3. Post a link to exactly what sort of Stik-O you are using. There are jerkbaits, lizards, paddle-stick, etc.
  4. Clear is clear not necessarily so you can see to the bottom but not looking cloudy or brownish at all. Stained is looking a tad brownish or a little cloudy. Muddy is just downright brown and cloudy.
  5. There is clear, stained, and muddy.
  6. What polarized glasses do you use? I want to know the best ones for brightening up what you are looking at. I have a pair of $25 dollar Field & Stream ones that are horrible they take the glare off the water but the darken it up horribly.
  7. I would simply back off the spot. There is a reason that there is all that line on your spool!! As far as site fishing goes, I would use a killer pair of polarized glasses (Solar Bat) and still back off a little. You can still see them with good glasses and not have to be right on top of the suckers!!!
  8. My buddy and partner Barry fished Mauch Chunk with a nice fellow named Dominick. I haven't been up there yet. I heard the tourneys held there have the size limit at 15" and all you catch there are 12 inchers. I heard its a very tough lake!
  9. Since the lake is really clear I would use more natural colors. I usually use black when the water is stained. Try colors like green and brown. Try matching the hatch. If you see alot of minnows try those colors. You also need to back off a little. Don't fish right on top of where the fish are. Reels have all that line on them for a reason. I would start trying 5" Senkos wacky style. Throw out past the strike zone, let 'em sink, then lift the rod tip real high to lift the bait close to the top of the water then let 'em sink again. Repeat this several times. Fish this SLOWLY!!! Baby Bass Senkos are an outstanding color in clear water. Konami baits makes them, Yamamoto's son's company so they are the same thing. If you have a lot of lily pads, I have great success running inline buzzbaits over and around the pads. Give them a try also!! Good Luck and Tight Lines!!
