Pork Rind Frog on a Boo Jig
I have a silly question, (i'm a newbie) . I bought some pork rind frogs to jig n pig with what side should be up the softer side or the "leathery" part, or does it matter. After I use it should I take it of and put it back in the jar or just discard it? I'm using it on a Booyah Boo jig Thanks

Took my boys out today
That was before he learned pinecones float. ;-) Now I ned to learn what a strike feels like, I think i had one or two, but it was tough to tell, I was fishing with a 1/2 oz jig. I guesss I'll have to practice more.

Took my boys out today
Took two of my boys out today, first time I've ever been out fishing. Wasn't planning on taking my 2 year old but he really wanted to. Glad I did he had a blast reeling in the bobber. I didn't get in many casts myself but I did get to break in my new rod. I can't wait til all the all ice clears up. I had a blast.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I appreciate it. Crestliner I am in eastern Mass now but I grew up in Holyoke. Hopefully, I'll get to hit the shad run this spring. Wild Bill, I'll be up to Saranac in August. We're in canoes and /or a kayak so we camp on lower Saranac. I'll definitely drop you a line after I get some practice before my trip to get some pointers on tackle. Thanks. I can't wait for the lake to thaw, There' only so many trips to the tackle stores my wife can handle.

Lake Saranac in the High Peaks area not to far from Lake Placid. My dad and brothers have been going up every year for about 15 years, I've been up the last 5.
