This is the only time I have had problems with them. First time fishing with this rod too. I have 6 of them and used them pretty heavily in some tight situations and they have excelled in performance. Love them dont regret buying them at all. Caught 3 over 4lbs today on KVD 1.5 no probs whatsoever.

I didnt even think of asking them. I did talk to them on the phone to get a copy of my receipt to send to Abu and they didnt mention returning the rod to them. One question though. The rod is broken in two 3.5' pieces. Can i just ship the rod in a 4ft tube to save on shipping. Abu asks for a check for 10 bucks to cover return shipping does that include their tube? First time shipping a broken rod so any help would be appreciated. Thx guys.

Hey guys I broke a Abu Veritas rod today setting the hook on a good 5+lb fish in some nasty stuff. Rod broke right at the second eye up from reel. Just broke clean in half. Never had problems with these rods before and it shouldnt have broken. But anyways off to Abu it goes. Has anybody had any experience with them and if so how fast is the turnaround. Tourney season is fixing to start with my club and I could really use that rod. Also does this sound like it will be covered by warranty. Bought the rod new in Nov. from ***. Thanks for any info.

First Veritas i bought i received in the mail the week they were released. First cast and it broke about 6-8 inches from tip. Contacted the place i bought it from and they sent me a new one with some extras I have since bought 6 more Veritas casting and spinning and have had NO PROBLEMS with them. I have caught up to 7lb largemouths and some 3.5 lb spots. No complaints at all.

I think he is meeting with Michigan out of respect. Why would he leave what he as been building this team for 6 years and now has it where he wants it. And every coach in the SEC is in the hot seat. LSU will do what it takes to keep him there. Besides Michigan is a blank canvas and LSU is a masterpiece

When it comes down to the wire in the 4th quarter i have alot of confidence in our coach. Miles has BALLS and wont give up.

Miles already said he hasnt been offered the job. And that he is happy @ LSU. Why would he leave he has worked 6 years to make HIS team. I dont think he will bail. Not this year anyway.

yes they looked good. Our defense should be our anchor again next year and with another off season and another good qb (Mettenberger) @ lsu pushing Jefferson he should be looking good next year. I predict a SEC championship next year. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

i have the 6'9 . I use it for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. good backbone and great tip for rolling blades

I have one bag but its huge. I got the XL boat bag and have 7 falcon boxes and I keep all my plastics in original packages inside of big ziploc bags sorted by creature, lizard, trailers,etc. I am usually a non boater and this suits me just right. Big enough to have what i need.

So have I. I have 6 of them now ;D except for my deep cranking rod. I think the 7'6" Veritas will have too much muscle for deep cranks but havent really checked into it yet. SeanW have you checked out the 7'6 and if so would it suit deep cranks or more for swimbaits?

My wife bought me a new Veritas and Abu Garcia Orra. Im gonna use it for spinnerbaits. A new pair of Native Sunglasses (which i LOVE) and a sweet LSU columbia PFG shirt.

That is very true. But the stuff i will be throwing the square-bill is some nasty stuff on the Alabama River and Coosa River this spring. But I will problably get the 12# for that though. Thanks for the input guys.

Hey guys I just ordered some 10,15,20lb spools of hybrid. I know what im going to use the 10 and 20 for but do you guys think the 15 will be good for everyday spinnerbait fishing and maybe square-bill cranks around cover??? Im now familiar with this line at all just thought i would give it a shot with all the great reviews. Thanks.

I was playing One in the Chamber lastnight with a buddy and there was this one kid camping soooo bad. I knew where he was hiding bcuz on the spy plane so i proceeded to go take him out in doing so he shot me as soon as i went through the door. Well on my second trip into the room this is what he saw As you can see he used his last bullet instead of knifing me the kid tried to RUN away i hunted him down and put a bullet in his back.
