Hello I live in NC in Mill Spring and we have a very nice lake (Lake Adger) it actually holds the NC record muskie. I just moved here and have been having trouble catching fish. I know there in there because I talk to people around the lake and there pulling 6 and 7 lber large mouth out.There are huge fish in this lake 20 to 30lb catfish being caught regularly every year. Muskie that takes 2 people to pull into boat etc.. Its an old lake and a big lake. Its mostly very deep.. starts around 20ft and ranges anywhere from 30ft to 80ft. I have been told by others that it is a hard lake to fish? I was told there are to many muskie and to many minnows/bait fish. The water was 53 degrees F yesterday.I marked most of the fish at around 15ft to 10ft on the Fish Finder. This lake is in the mountains and there are some houses around with docks but mostly wooded...Any tips on bass fishing deep or lure choice etc... I come from fishing in Florida mostly shallow water Rattle trap topwater spinner bait etc.. Just havent produced anything here yet...Maybe too early still?
