Jerkbait Setup
I use a 6'6" Medium moderate action Shimano Compre rod, with a 6.4:1 BPS pro-qualifier and 12lb florocarbon. Works for me.

Goals for the season
1/ Really learn to read the conditions that are thrown my way. Try to develop a game plan based on that. 2/ Let the fish tell me what to do. Try and get away from throwing my favorites alot of the time. 3/ Fish SLOWER! (easier said than done on windy shield lakes.) 4/ Master certain techniques When, Where, Why to use them. (i.e. swimbaits, flippin'/pitchin, carolina rigging) 5/ Obviously new PB

Rod action for Spinnerbaits.
generally, a 7'0" Med. Heavy, Fast Action rod is good. But it all depends on your preference. I got a 6'6" med. Heavy, Fast Action... works out great, especially for underhanded, short-range casting, which I usually do when fishing the blades. hope this helps.

Swimbaits.... Weightless or Weighted Hook
Kinda new to Swimbait fishin'. Picked up some Luck 'E' Strike Bass Magic swimbaits, and was wondering which is the best way to rig these? With a weighted hook, or weightless? Also, if your fishing it weightless... does the lure have a tendancy to roll, rather than "swim"?
