I fish a variety of reels on different rods. My favorite combo (recently purchased) is a shimano cumara/sustain FE, and I would switch all of my reels to those but it's just a bit out of my price range. The one I have was a graduation present. I have daiwa capricorns, shimano stradics, pflueger supreme's and presidents, quantum tour and others. In my opinion the Pflueger supreme is an excellent buy for 99 dollars, and the bass pro shops jonny morris signature spinning reel for 99 is also a great reel. Shimano makes the best high end reels and if at all possible I would recommend saving up and buying one of the new stradics or stretching it for the sustain FE, you won't regret it.
