This post drew me out of the lurking mode. lol The subject is near and dear to me. I'm addicted to frog fishing, it's pretty much all I do, and I'm afraid I led some friends into the same addiction. I just can't stop throwing a frog.
I've tried most of the hollow body and soft body frogs out there, and eventually narrowed it down to the soft bodied Zman hard legs. I fish mostly pads, but they work great in open water also, and I even do well on smallmouth with them on my annual trip to Maine. I did use ribbits for quite some time, but the Zmans are way more durable and I like the fact that they float. I don't think I'll ever use anything else. I saw the mention of the Dalberg diving frog, I grabbed some when they came out and couldn't wait to use them, the legs look so good in the pads, but they were a major disappointment to me, don't even have them in the boat anymore.
