  1. Tappan Lake is a great lake for both bass species. I fished a few tournaments there last year and had no problem hauling in both Largemouth and Smallmouth there. This time of year I like to fish near the marina. Find points and riprap in that area and cast 3" tubes and the shakyhead worm in a green pumkin color. Last year during a tournament I caught a 3 lb plus smallie in one of the tunnels that lead under the road to the back water bays. Hope this info helps. Good Luck.
  2. I just bought the new Prodigy reel from Cabela's. Has anyone had the chance to fish this reel yet. If so could you tell me what you think of its performance. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Thank You.
  3. Listen, take it for what its worth. Iv'e fished the Ohio river in tournaments alot and I placed well. If you want to catch those river bass throw 2 baits. Either the 3" tube in watermelon or green pumpkin or best of all the shakyhead worm in the same colors. The bass love the shakyhead so much on moving and slow moving rivers and streams its unbelievable. Try it and let me know what you think.
