  1. So I saw a video on youtube of a spot in nashua that might have some soft water. I believe it is by the radisson hotel. Anyone know if your allowed to fish there? It seems that this guy had no problems, and he brought in a couple LM. Heres the link to the video.
  2. Nashua Neverett, I actually did get out behind the stellos, but with no luck. I tried pretty much everything and got absolutely nothing. The water was running so fast that the only part that was even remotely fishable was by that brick building. If anyone is going out maybe Monday or Tuesday id be game if your willing to let me on your boat. I'm dieing to reel something in id even take a stick at this point.
  3. I'm going to try and hit up stellos dam around 4 and try my luck
  4. tried down by the stellos dam yesterday for about an hour and got absolutely nothing except some snow in my boots. It shouldnt be too long before the ice is gone and I can land some of these big ones again. Also I am determined to catch this bass I saw at Mill Pond in nashua. It seems to lurk in one particular area for the past 2 years and will not bite anything. It looks to be around 8 pounds or so and id love to get that thing in. I feel defeated by this fish haha.
  5. I agree with you that it smells (well atleast some of it). If you get back to NJ try to get out to one of the bigger lakes. Once you get out of the busy northern NJ area I would bet that you wouldn't even believe its NJ. From my experience fishing alot of the northeast not much compares to some of the better spots in NJ. Anyway im barely able to contain myself for the fishing in spring. I tried to get out in NH to hit some rivers that were covered in ice, but I just cant handle the cold. Plus the fishing was far from productive given that I got the big goose egg on all my adventures.
  6. well i know this forum is about the lakes in NJ, but there actually are some highly contaminated water sources. For instance the passaic river has toxins associated with the biproduct of agent orange dioxin. Im not knocking on NJ because I live there and love fishing all the areas but it does have its share of contamination. On a side note the passaic river is by far one of my favorite places to fish you wouldnt believe the size of LM SM bass, pike, catfish, carp, stripers, and anything else you can think of that ive caught out of it. One of my new favorites has to be lake aeroflex (formerly waywayonda). Great fishing up there, but it is a ride for sure.
  7. Anybody get out on the water lately? I can't wait to get back out there and tighten some lines. Does anyone know a spot with open water somewhat close to nashua with shore access that can be productive. I'm dieing to see if I can pull a few in considering I've never really fished past november with any success (aside from the occasional ice fishing trip).

  9. Shane and NHbassin, Is the powerplant you speak of the pennichuck powerplant. Ive been looking dieing to do some open water fishing. I dont have my kayak up here, but if possible is there shore access to this spot. I also remember from a post a while back that the pennichuck spot was illegal to fish, or that you would get chased out of there. Let me know cause id love to get out soon. PM me if you need a fishin partner one day!
  10. got out to mine falls dam for a while, and got absolutely nothing. Was nice to throw a few casts though. I was wondering if anyone has ever fished behind the radisson inn in nashua. I saw a video on youtube of a small pond with a fountain which didnt seem like a bad spot the guy pulled in around 4 or 5 bass withing 20 minutes and one around 4lbs
  11. Hey Shane thats a hawg for these temps! Whered you get out to looks like the Merrimack? Youve inspired me to get out there this week with those numbers haha...if anyone is to anxious to wait i might be going down to the nashua at the dam tomorrow for about an hour around noonish
  12. so anyone get out recently? Im hoping to try out some new equipment when it warms up a little bit. Im hoping for somewhere around 40ish to get out there for a few casts and see if i can wake those smallies up.
  13. So I called algonquin power and they said they don't have any restrictions as far as fishing by the dam. Nashua I think you said it was 250 feet from the dam but as far as they are concerned they have no such reg. Did you get that info from fish and game? I'm just curious because I want to throw a line in by the dam but don't want to end my trip in cuffs haha.
  14. Is the greely park spot you speak of productive at all? I don't usually fish the merimack so what works during the cold months?
  15. Hello everyone just wondering if anyone knows if the area by the dam in the nashua river behind the football field is fishable. I just picked up a penn sargus 3000 and I'm dieing to try it out.
