This is the second time, (since I've been alive) it has snowed in my area of florida. And no, it was not sleet, it was snow Very, very rare.

I just received the 805 Flip/Punch and am amazed at the quality and performance of this rod. I was looking at the 795, and was wondering what you people use this rod for, because it is 7'9'' and only a medium heavy and a 5 power.

I wouldn't pay that much attention to the amount of bearings in the reel. And the more bearings that are in it definitely does NOT mean you cast farther. An STX has 11, and a Curado has 7. Curado beats out the STX in performance if you ask me. 8-) I've never had any trouble with Shimano products.

I have two crankin rods, A cumara reaction series, and a Loomis Crankbait series. They are both some of the best rods on the market. The loomis crankbait rods are simply amazing though, I would put some look into them. A crankbait rod is like a flipping stick, you REALLY need to feel it before purchasing.

I don't know if I would pay the extra cash again, I have both and ... I personally would get a curado. Cheaper than an STX and just as nice. But back to the topic, my dad has two sx's and I have one stx, I use his all the time along with my stx. (I) can't tell the difference. And I like black better than silver so.... SX FTW

Everything except the Kodak was bought on the Black Friday sale.

Dobyns 805 Flip/Punch Save Phace Ski Mask. Glacier fishing gloves. Kodak Playsport Camera. Ikes book. A bunch of deep diving crankbaits. I feel spoiled, and am asking my dad if he wants one of the curado's, he has none and I have 4.

I recieved this spinnerbait by some random person at a boat launch when i was around 9. I ended up catching my very first bass, not out of a pond on it. I can't remember who made it, and I haven't seen them since I lost it. But it was by far the best spinnerbait I've ever thrown. I don't know if it was a fluke thing, or if I just had more confidence in it than others. Even while catching fish on it, it looks so funky, you can't take it seriously. I fished a tournament with a guy in my neighborhood and he asked me, "Are you sure you want to throw that, I have plenty others in my box?" I said "I'm fine", and we ended up with big bass, and big sack One of my favorite baits of all time, and haven't fished one in 2 years.

Me and my bro do the exact same thing ! Mine are usually stocked with baits !

It's really not as hard as it looks with a baitcaster when you actually spend the time to learn. Start out with your braking system or cast control tight and loosen as you get better. I will admit, Accuracy and a spinning rod don't go together with me, and I can't learn it ! >
