  1. Nice! I am surprised that N. Michigan has quality bass — not an occasional one but multiples in one night — unless most fishermen target walleye, pike, Muskie, etc.? Are bass a secondary fish there?
  2. Where in Kansas? I hunt SE, NC, C, E & NE Kansas for turkeys and predators. Before quail populations declined drastically I hunted them extensively in extreme SE Kansas and bass fished in the Mined Land area. I love Kansas! Steve
  3. Glad to "meet" someone from NWA on the forum. We are native Arkansans but lived in Missouri for 25 years so I fished Table Rock, Stockton, Bushwhacker and other MO lakes for years. My best bass were taken, however, in rice reservoirs near Stuttgart and a 64 acre reclaimed strip pit in SW MO. I fish the Bella Vista lakes (less traffic when fishing with grandchildren than Beaver) a lot now and plan to get to Stuttgart next spring. I will begin hunting Kansas and Missouri in mid-September so won't do much fall fishing. Let me know how you do this fall. Steve
  4. New to forum but bassin' for a long time. I have caught my largest two (8 & 9-4) on top water lures but a number of 6 plus on 7 inch plastic worms and buzz baits. I really enjoy the free instructional videos from bass resource and will be diversifying my fishing using some of the techniques they have demoed. Now I spend most of my fishing time teaching 9 & 7 year old grandchildren to fish including bream and bass. My 18 year old grandson has fished with me since 4 and joined a university team this year as a freshman and his older sister fished with me some but enjoys mountain biking, cliff diving and boys more and is a university junior. Our last grand is a 2 year old girl and will probably start going with me in a year or so. It is Wonderful teaching them but still enjoy a serious basing trip occasionally!
