  2. what kind of specs to look for in a spinning rod used for soft plastics...?

    I'm looking to buy a spinning rod that i'll be using this year to fish creeks for smallmouth. The main creek i fish is about 5 to 15 feet deep depending on what hole your in and I'll be using rubber worms and such so i want to get a rod tailored to this type of fishing. I'm just wondering what the right specs are for this kind of a rod. i'm thinking like a 7 foot medium fast action? I'm not too educated on spinning gear so any help would be appreciated. thanks
