Thanks fellas but this one is a little different. The leg the the blades are on is made of a woven piece of wire. Normally both legs are made of a solid wire. The woven or braided leg is stiff but still flexes much more than the solid wire does giving it great action even when being pulled through heavy cover. The braided part and the solid part are connected by a crimped connector.

Hello all, A few years ago I came up with this great spinner bait from a local thrift store. It is a Luhr Jensen, black on black but it has one neat feature. The leg that the blades are mounted on is made out of a stiff yet flexible wire. I have found that this makes it extremely easy to fish through lily pads etc. while still maintaining a good action. It has been very productive. However I cant find another source for them. I checked the Luhr Jensen site with no luck. Has anyone seen a spinner like this or does anyone know a good source for them? Thanks so much.

See, I told you I was a newbie. Thats a very good point about seeing the line from the bottom up. It makes perfect sense. My wife always tells me that I only see my point of view especially when it comes to fishing HA!

Hello all, Newbie here. I recently upgraded my fishing gear and one of the things I wanted to change was my line. I bought a few spools of Berkleys Fireline, original and crystal. I have found that the crystal is more visible under water than I expected and that the smoke is seemingly less visible. Has anyone else come to this conclusion or am I just imagining things? Thanks. :-?
