Pickwick is a very good lake and its the only lake that I fish year round. In the spring, a shaky head (pumpkin seed/watermelon) works best for me. I try to focus on the creek channel side of coves and flats associated with main lake points, especially those associated with a creek channel. Look for gravel bottoms in 10-18 feet. Over the past week, some of the females have begun to move into shallow water that ranges from 3-5 feet -- just follow the creek channel to the back of the coves. I primarily fish from the dam to Yellow Creek but will venture into Indian and Bear as well, its all good.
Good Luck.
