Hi. I'm planning to build an ultra-lite or 'finesse' casting rod and was thinking about using a trigger grip of the type in the title. However, it seems to me that the very thin blanks involved would need padding out to properly fit the internal diameter of the reel seat. So there would be a layer between the blank and the fingers anyway. Does anyone have a recommendation as to what could be used to maximise the sensitivity? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick? Thanks.
