Also I remember a thread of some guys who went to pigeon forge and fished for smallies in the river and creeks. Might be a nice option to wade a creek for smalliess. fun fishing and you get to keep cool.

Thanks for the replies guys I will definatelly hit you up when I get down there. I know of quite a few ponds from growing up in the area but hopefully one day can get a boat and hit up the lakes.

well I ended up buying a gallon of pourasol from lureworks and it was very reasonable compared to lurecraft. I'll let yall know how it goes. now i just need to get clay and pop to make my molds

So after living in Nashville for the last 4 years my wife new baby and I are gonna go home to the Tampa area. Do any of yall fish out there? I always fished from the bank in neighborhood ponds. Hope to hear from some of yall and maybe like the va folks we could get a little meet and greet organized one day.

help with weighting
How do you weight a swimbait? Do you split it and then glue it back together or drill holes? If you drill holes and put weight in that way, how do you fill it to have a smooth surface to paint? Any help would be much appreciated.

hemlock for swimbaits?
At work we have a bunch of scrap hemlock blocks laying around and wondered if anyone knew anything about the wood. I was told its similar to pine buts that's all I got. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steven
