Lowrance Sonic Hub sleeve for iPhone 4?
Got a Lowrance sonic hub this Christmas for the boat. Just got a iphone 4 and realized that there is no adapter sleeve. Does anyone know if Lowrance plans on coming out with updated sleeve? Or who I can contact about it. Nothing like buying the cutting edge technology and it being outdated before I even get the dang thing installed! >

1 question for KVD
I don't know much about the boats, honestly. I know the hauls are really thin. But if someone gave me one to fish out of, I'd rock it, that's for sure! ;D

how to write a resume and what to include in it.
Concentrate on your studies in school. Math, science, and English are very important in everyday life. Studying proper English is going to be the top priority when writing a resume. Most colleges offer technical writing courses that would help with your writing skill. I am a horrible speller, but I am constantly checking my spelling and looking for synonyms to make sure I used the right words. I write estimates for home repairs for a large construction company and if I were to miss spell a word, it would be very embarrassing. :-[ The same would go for someone trying to "sell" to a sponsor. Don't let the majority of the people on this forum discourage you. If you could obtain a few sponsors to help with the cost of tournament fishing, more power to you. But if you say and school and land a good paying job, the need for sponsors is less of a priority and spending time on the water becomes the top priority. Good luck to you! Tight lines buddy!

This forum heading is strange.
I think it's easy for people to criticize and ridicule other people when it is on an impersonal forum. Now, would most of these people be negative if it was done in person? Probably not, they would probably would have words of encouragement. But on the other hand, there are cases where maybe tuff love is what is needed. I'm sure it's a dog eat dog world trying to compete to obtain sponsors.

THEFT at b.a.s.s southern open/toho
They cut the lock, not the bar, on David Walker's boat. He posted a pic of it on Facebook. Loc r bar has come out with a lock with a built in alarm, you can check it out in a video on their website. This season I'll be using a baby monitor in my boat with that alarm. I hope that I never have to experience what these poor guys have went through. On top of all this, that's how they make their living. >

KVD's sponsors products?
Nike's products do suck, Tiger putted with a Titelist putter for a long time before he got a Nike putter he liked. It really bother's me that KVD drives a Toyota truck. Put that dude in a tricked out Ford F 150\ RAM 2500 CUMMINS with an ecoboost and watch them trucks fly off the lot. I gusses I can't talk I own a Yamaha outboard. ;D Cummins makes an awesome diesel for the ram truck. The engines will out last the truck that they are put in. I hope you get my point though. A Toyota truck, really. :-/ I just think in these times, we should be supporting American owned companies as much as we can. And yes I know that the trucks are made in Texas or some place like that, but the profits are going over seas.

What it's going to take...
I'm a 26 year old bass guy that knows nothing about sponsorship or that whole business end. Although I think I know a little about networking and timing, which involves way more than writing down a small list of achievements and a statement of what you can do for a company on a resume. Everybody wants that $100,000 wrap deal that will set them for life so they can tour the country fishing bass tourney's. My approach to a sponsorship would be to start out small, real small. First get to know the people that you buy your gear from, as a person. Marina's, tackle shops, restaurants, auto parts stores, insurance agency's, people that you interact with every day, not someone you talk to online or on the phone. Get some wins under your belt locally. Create the network with in that smaller community. Then when the timing is right, approach your "connections" as a way they can further market their business. You should make them feel like you are doing more for them than they are for you! I meet a guy that some how got a NAPA auto parts store owner to pay for all the entry fee's for his schedule for the year. Not much, but it was a start, and a heck of a good start if you were paying $100 a week for a tourney. Everybody wants that instant gratification, like you're owed something. Set a statement for who you are and what you represent first, then the rest will come a little easier than just asking for hand outs.
