As a bass angler up here in NY (Long Island) I say go get em guys!!!! I have fished Florida quite a few times and would hate to see one of the best bass fisheries in the country affected by these little buggers!!! I just read an article on snakeheads being found in wisconsin and maryland waters so all of us bass anglers no matter where you live need to keep an eye on their local fisheries. see below: Snakehead fish are native to China but are imported into the US as aquarium fish as well as food fish. Snakeheads can cause serious problems to native fish populations if they get established in US waters. A snakehead was found recently in a river in Wisconsin. Incredibly, it was not identified before it was released back into the river! It could be an aquarium pet that got too big and was dumped, or it could have been imported for food and somehow been released into the river. A few months ago snakeheads caused quite a stir when one was found in a pond in Maryland. The media make a fuss about it and hyped it far out of porportion. Snakeheads have been found in US waters over a dozen times in the past few years but made little news until the snakehead was found in Maryland. Snakeheads look a lot like bowfins to me. They feed in similar ways and have teeth. If you catch a snakehead, don't try to lip it! Do kill it, though, do not release it back into the water. You should never release any kind of fish into waters it was not caught in. Snakeheads are just one example of the kinds of fish that cause problems. Carp are one of the worst of the imports. Snakeheads are not considered game fish so there are no limits or seasons on them. They should hit live bait or artificials that look like little minnows since that is their major food. If you catch a strange looking fish, contact your local Game and Fish Department and have them identify it. Help keep your fishing waters clear of snakeheads and other problem species

Hello i don't know if i should be posting in this section or on the flea market section but here it goes, I am looking to purchase my first bass boat but the times that we are in money is an issue, so what i am looking to do is find some of my fellow bass fisherman that are going to be upgrading thier bass rig this year or next and have an older boat that they don't neccesarily need to sell right away. I would need to pay off the boat in installments or put the funds into an paypall account overtime say 6-8 months and when the final amount is reached then take possesion of the boat and documents. i am looking at say 2500-4000 dollar range and preferrably in the tri state area (NY, CT, NJ, PA ) if there is any of you out there please let me know, i am trying to take my bassin to the next level and hit the B.A.S.S. weekend series tourney season for starters as a boater next year . Well hope to hear from some of you out there and like i said this is not a rushed sort of thing. thanks to all 8-)

Greetings everyone from the bass fishing capitol of the USA what on long island? lol yeah i know its not but it is definitely a jewel for all of us non boater shore bass assassins!!!! not as many serious large mouth bassers here as there was when i was growing up in San Diego Calif.
