Has anyone from Maryland fished this river? I did some reading on it and the articles I read state that there is some good smallie fishing in this river near the Buckeystown dam. I am just curious if anyone has tried fishing there and if so how did you do?

Can't yet figure out how to post replies to the forums. I just signed up. I'm originally from Upstate NY where I used to fly fish for trout. I just took up fishing again down here in Maryland. I now use an open face spinning reel and love to fish the local rivers. So far, it's been the Monocacy (where I've had a ton of luck each and everytime) Potomac and a few reservoirs around the area. Smallies, cat, large mouth, perch, trout and yes, sun fish galore.
