i am from Baton rouge. used to fish in west baton rouge bass club but it disbanded. have been fishing saltwater mostly the 8 years or so. i do bass fish some ponds on the deer lease and private lake in DeQuincy. I love Toledo Bend and have been thinking about making a trip there soon.

find the bait and the fish will be there.

you have gotten a lot of good advice so far. two things i would try that having been mentioned are a small white spinner bait. sometimes that will just kill pond bass. and also a fluke. start with watermelon. good luck and be stealthy

A big hello from the fishing capital of the world. I live in Baton Rouge, LA. I can see I might stay confused or confuse y'all because my city is often referred to as BR. lol i have been bass fishing for as long as i can remember.
