The thing that works for me buck tail hair jigs brown&orange with blue pig .When the water warms up to upper 50s go to R trap or SLOW ROLL #5 spinner bait . I make my hair jigs cannt find them down south[with weed gard].The cold muddy water beats work any day so all that other crap about staying home is for :-*, conditions not always the best but make the best fish SLOW.

My bro & I drug the boat with full gear for both &two batteries across golf course aimost imile BUT put10lbs in the boat that day.Not a far drive but long drag!

spinnerbait is still good very good just real slow Col. blade.I will use a spinnerbait year round water temp. and clarity determine color and speed, winter slow just off bottom .Stay with it it works winter is tough but its not so cold when the fish are big.
