I recently tried spinners because I've had some success on other lakes with it but the only time I've landed anything at Tri-City was on lipless crankbait in the summer. You're right i should slow my approach down. I'll definitely say hi if i see you there soon

I've caught some of my biggest fish by switching to unfamiliar spots or using unfamiliar presentations. Don't be afraid to work areas you haven't fished before. Even if you get skunked you spent all day at the lake and you didn't get a raw deal.

I got skunked on the worms I threw but my spinnerbait landed a decent one. I wonder if it had something to do with the DFG stocking trout that morning?

There's a massive largemouth in one of my local ponds who is always jumping around. I call him "The Boss". No matter what i throw at him i just cant get him to bite.

I caught a cat about a couple months ago in a little pond behind my house. I was using a 3" purple banjo minnow looking for bass and WHAM! this snagged my line

My name is Max and I have been fishing off and on for a few years now but i just started bass fishing this year. I record all of the fishing shows on tv and read whatever articles i can get my hands on. I have also spent way too much money on tackle ;D I fish in a few shallow, dirty ponds in SoCal from the bank and any advice on lures, baits, rigs, and approaches would be awesome.

I recently got into bass fishing this past year and I fish at Tri City all the time. I've pulled a couple dingers out with banjo minnows and a 2.5 pounder with a rattlebait. I've dropshotted and texas rigged a few dark colored 5" plastic worms but no luck. I know you wont give me your spot but any help and advice on lures or baits would be awesome
