  1. Agreed, with all of that. I know I could reel slower with the e7 but if I wanna toss a say up to a 6" swimbait the cranking power might be a bit better to have? Not sure we'll see when it arrives and hopefully get some more insight from everyone on here too :)
  2. Hey all, I know this has been covered but I'm still unsure if I made the right choice in getting a 200e5 curado over the e7. I have been using a citica which is in the middle and better overall for general use. After reading the old tackletour review I liked the e5's cranking power and ability to toss smaller size swimbaits. I dont think I'll be tossing many cranks or spinners but will want to toss smaller swimbaits and unweighted senkos etc. Would it be okay for these or should I change it out and get an e7 instead? Just interested in hearing some more experienced opinions Thanks everyone! pm's are good too
  3. I've done ewg and worm hook with the same shimmy action fall. I don't think the worm hook would hurt your hookup ratio you just may have to set it a bit harder to push through the senko? Try different stuff out to see what you like best
  4. bass pros of course but also lunkerville if anyones heard of it. very relaxed show but enjoyable at the same time. you can find episodes online even.
  5. here bed fishing can be a big problem because in the san diego lakes that are trout stocked, you get a lot of 'trout fishermen' who basically will keep anything they reel in regardless of species and will target bedding fish right off the shore >
  6. slow day at work eh? hopefully more slow days in the future. ;D solid hawg!
  7. Agreed with you on the anger towards that guy. He must have a tough time catching a bedded bass to resort to such drastic and bad measures in no way looking out for the health of the fish.
  8. in the smaller lakes like dixon, poway, miramar (all trout stocked) trout imitation swimbaits are gonna be your best bet in that category. Also, because the lakes are heavily pressured be prepared for the finesse tactics if you aren't stickin' any. I have good luck drop shotting a 4.5" roboworm. spot on with the tactics for bedding fish they should be starting up right around that time you are here! good luck hope you can get some quality fat bass ;D
  9. a buck for a shad rap! thats a steal. local walmart carries the usual stuff. much more geared towards trout with rooster tails trout bait but also the usual rapalas and roboworms for better than your average prices
  10. Thanks for the warm welcome fellas great forum full of great people.
  11. sup everyone, thought I would introduce myself. from san diego where the fishing is awesome whether you want ocean or fresh ;D ;D ;D ;D great forums, I've learned a lot from peoples threads so far. Recently picked up bass fishing and its slowly taking over my trout fishing in our stocked lakes. 8-)
